I suppose I would rate it higher if it let you work on two merges at the same time or to upload documents that could be reused for subsequent merges, but this is a free app, so I don’t expect those features. (Note that I am a PC/Android user learning to function and access my files on someone else’s iOS, so pure iOS users with their own device might not have this issue at all-but hey, that speaks to the simplicity and intuitiveness of this app). Enter the page range you want to combine. On Mac, you simply use Preview which is an app that handles everything from PDF and Markup/annotation, any kind of image files from the regular JPG/PNG to eps/Raw. Run PDF Merge Split for Mac and click 'Merge' tab if you want to combine PDF files into one. Sometimes, I had trouble finding my documents from the app’s upload options, but that was easy to overcome by opening the documents and sending them to the PDF Merge app. PDF Merge Split for Mac is a free Mac application to combine and cut PDF.

You can view the documents you’ve added to the merge list and adjust the order. If you’re tighter on cash than you are on time and value simplicity and effectiveness over extra perks, then I think you’ll be happy with this app. (**it’s only free if you’re willing to wait 60-90 minutes for your merge) It may prove a lifesaver for users working with large numbers of PDF documents.Gets It Done and Beggars Can’t Be Choosers

After the process ends, the user can select the location and name of the new file with a window that pops up. The overall process completes quickly, and the output images match the originals in their resolution. A clearly-labeled button initiates the combination process and is very easy to find. As files are added, the main area lists them by their title and their location. Users can also manually select files to import via a "+" and "-" set of buttons at the bottom, which opens a separate finder window. A medium-size window has one area where files can be dragged and dropped. The trial limits the number of PDFs combined to three, but the full version of PDF Merge for Mac with no limits can be purchased for $18.99. Fortunately, the design is intuitive and well thought out. The free trial version's basic menu lacks any advanced graphics or a user tutorial. The program performs only one task, but does it quickly and without any problems. With its rather basic but intuitive drag-and-drop interface, PDF Merge for Mac successfully combines several PDFs into one file.
